NEW: Appetizers & Apologetics

Alternating Wednesdays at 6 pm on June 8, 15 & 29

This summer, we will be gathering every other Wednesday, Memorial Day through Labor Day, for a series on Apologetics, as presented by Charlie Campbell via previously recorded video. At this first meeting, we will explore, “What is apologetics and why is it so important.” In 1 Peter 3, Peter writes; “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you.”

To “sanctify” “revere” or “honor” the Lord God in your heart is to make Him the core, the center of your life, to give Him all authority, allegiance and adoration. To “give a defense” is a legal phrase, describing factual reasons, logical explanations and evidence. He provides us this in the Word, which we study. We also have a shared hope in Jesus. These can be tools of evangelism, edification and encouragement. Together, we will learn, fellowship and strengthen our faith as we are equipped to answer challenging questions, contend for the faith and stand strong in the truth.

At this first meeting, those in attendance will vote on future topics and studies possibly including; how to defend the faith, answer skeptics’ questions, understand evidence for the Bible and more.

Bring an appetizer to share, a notebook and your Bible. June dates: Wednesday the 1st, 15th and 29th.
