Mortgage Refinance

Discussion about refinancing our mortgage with Thrivent has come to fruition. We are completely in awe to announce that Thrivent accepted all of our paperwork and approved the refinance which will greatly benefit Peace over time. They related, in a letter to you, “You have a clear vision for Peace Lutheran and Thrivent Church Financing is proud to provide the funding to help bring it to life. We look forward to helping you reach your ministry goals, not just today, but well into the future.” We now have a fixed rate over 15 years with only a $29 increase monthly. Outstanding job Peace Lutheran members on your great stewardship and especially to Paul Seher who diligently worked with Thrivent to secure this loan.

Playground Update

Big Thanks to everyone for moving this project forward as this is a big step in our future for Peace. We have received direction from council to place the Playground order so that we are ready for spring assembly. We have a location chosen and will now proceed with preparation. Donations have been great! We’ve received 2020 year-end giving of 15,000, the congregation voted at the annual meeting to transfer $10,000 from the Refresh Fund, and congregational donations of $6,240 were given to meet the $,4000 match Challenge!! We did it!!! The anonymous donor has been contacted with this exciting news. Additional gifts received are $1,540 for the bench swing and $350 for a bench. When matched, this will provide $37,430 of the total $41,000 needed. GOAL!!! We hope to be swinging and sliding in May! Stay tuned for a ground breaking and blessing event of the area. God bless and thank you all!
