GO into all the world & preach the good news to everyone. Mark 16:15 (NLT)

Or better translated, “as you go” – is Jesus’ straightforward instruction that believing in Him involves a way of living as you go. Believing is not about sitting in the stands but being on the field. You have not been saved to sit this life out, but to be engaged with others, as you go.

The world is not just some remote location far, far away. In truth, going to the ends of the earth necessarily means living, loving, and going through your home, workplace, classroom, grocery store, neighborhood – you are to be a living exhibit of Jesus in all the world – near and far – globally and locally = glocally!

The good news is Jesus – His life, love, salvation. Jesus: His will and work to save, not condemn; to love not hate. The good news looks like loving others because He is love (1 John 4:16-19). And you preach the good news of God’s love through your words, actions, and a life-style that is patient, kind, joyful, self-controlled; bearing all things, believing, hoping, and enduring (Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

This is the greatest relief of all. You need not waste time trying to decide who does or does not need the good news of Jesus’ love, patience, kindness (cf the list in the previous paragraph). You do not need to be like the lawyer who asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” (Luke 10:29). Jesus reply in the account of the Good Samaritan, is not about “who is your neighbor?” but to be far more focused on being a neighbor to everyone!

As you go into the world of your home, workplace, grocery store, gym – to the people and places where you volunteer or play – may your life show the love, joy, and peace (as well as the rest of the list above) to everyone you encounter. See others with the heart and eyes of Jesus today and remember how Jesus sees you: beloved, belonging, becoming, and blessed.
