Looking for a ministry opportunity to share your spiritual gifts?

The first week of Feb 2-9 will begin our Family Promise Ministry journey together for 2020. As your PLC Family Promise Ministry Team, we are looking for a few more hands that can make a difference in the lives of those we serve.  Just as the families we serve, life situations change, our PLC FP Ministry continues to realize the value of our volunteer’s time and service. This past year our Program Coordinator, Jolene Pooley, after prayerful deliberation, reached the decision to step down as Program Coordinator. Jolene’s passion for Family Promise will be missed but Jolene and Randy will continue to volunteer when they are in Idaho. In preparation for Jolene’s departure, the PLC FP Team incorporated the use of a Daily Facilitator to improve communication between volunteers and lessen the need to rely on one person. This was a great Ministry enhancement and continues to work well, but the need for a Program Coordinator still needs to be filled.

As our church family continues to grow, we want to reach out to ALL members to prayerfully consider joining our team.  We are looking for one or two individuals who would be willing to fill the vacant PLC Family Promise Coordinator position. The position acts as a liaison with FP of Northern Idaho to pass along program information about our guest families for designated service weeks. They also share any concerns from the Daily Facilitators that need to be addressed back to Family Promise of Northern Idaho. After initial hosting week set up, the Coordinator relies on the Daily Facilitators to run the day to day activities. The Coordinator role continues to be redefined as many of the past responsibilities have been taken over by other Team members.

In 1 Peter 4:10-11 scripture reminds us that “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ.” So, when you feel something tugging at your heart just listen as God continues to direct our paths. Celebrating together as we Serve a Risen Savior!
