A PLC winter weather reminder – if the Post Falls School District is closed due to a weather event, the church is too!

A note from Gail Schoonmaker from her recent hip replacement surgery:

Thank you for all the prayers for my surgery & rehab. I appreciate them! Gail

We just celebrated the first Sunday of Advent and the first candle on our wreath was lit. Afterward, our beautiful Christmas tree and Nativity will be arranged in the sanctuary on Dec 1. Thank you to Nadia Bruno and helper for volunteering!

We sprung a leak, as evidenced from a wet carpet area in the hallway leading to the fellowship hall dripping from the mezzanine up above where the HVACs live. Lance Ely replumbed the furnace condensate lines so they don’t leak and are properly sloped to the drain. Should be good for a long while. Thank you, Lance, for this important repair!

The church office will be closed for the Christmas & New Year holidays on Dec 24, 27 & 31.

Lynn Affeldt will be using remaining PTO in Dec – please call the church first to make sure someone’s here.

Last Notice: At the end of this month (Dec 31, 2021), the Simply Giving program will be discontinued. Thank you to those who have used the Vanco SG program over the years in support of Peace Lutheran.

Kitchen supplies are running low. If you would like to donate coffee, paper towels, napkins, case of bottled water (thank you Wardlows for two big Costco cases – wow!), 13-gal trashcan liners, refill size gel hand sanitizer, etc. we will gladly provide a GIK receipt for your tax purposes – thank you!

Food Bank: Ardella, Mona & Tami took 164+ lbs in Nov donations to the PF Food Bank. The food banks welcome personal care items like shampoo, toothpaste/brush, deodorant, lotion, shaving supplies, diapers, formula, or pet food, etc. The big holidays are coming! Perhaps pick up a little something extra to help make someone’s holiday nicer!
