Ecumenical Food Kitchen

Thanks to all who provided food and served at our second Ecumenical Food Kitchen event in late June. Marge Freligh, who coordinates this outreach ministry, reported that approximately 24 families were provided with a hardy sack lunch. Our monthly benevolence supported the EFK in July. Peace will serve again on Sep 24!

Family Promise

Thanks to many for supporting our Family Promise families in July. Our two families were lovingly cared for with food donations, delicious evening meals, and restaurant gift cards. Due to the unique virus situation, Family Promise has secured, through a special grant they received, and apartment/hotel room for guests to live as moving weekly from church to church is not viable right now. Peace will serve one more week this year in October.

Orchard Ridge: Due to Covid, in place of the regular Butterfly fundraiser for our charitable care, we will be holding a drive-through event on Thu, Aug 6, 5-6:30 pm There are no ticket sales, just donations as you drive through, and for every donation you will receive a live butterfly for releasing and goodie bag! We hope to get a good turn out and able to raise funds for our residents who benefit from charitable Christian care. Enter the event on Harrison Ave. – Holly Johnson, Orchard Ridge

Fellowship Team Update

Due to the rising concern of Covid-19 spiking in our area, Fellowship Team has made the difficult decision to cancel the Ladies’ Tea that was scheduled on Sep 26. We look forward to this event again in the future!
