Jan Gifts: Thanks to Nadia Bruno for tree undecorating after Epiphany, and to Gordon & Rick for hauling our Christmas décor to the she-shed and gently storing the tree for another year – you guys are the best! More thanks to Suzie English who lent us the Nativity Star for the cross. Kudos to Lee Ely for providing paint swatches to view the new paint tones and setting up the slideshow. We’re grateful to Cinda Fueller for taking down all the old pictures and to Janelle Baker who is preparing the new pictures with name labels. Thanks to all for a spectacular Winter Fiesta at BIG Fun Night!

The church office will be closed on Mon, Feb 17, as a day of coming Lent preparations and winter respite for the staff. Pastor Jon takes Fri & Sat as his days off, and Lynn Affeldt will use one day of PTO on Fri, Feb 14.

We know it’s wintertime in North Idaho and sometimes our weather is a challenge! If you can’t make it to church, you can always listen to Pastor Jon’s message online on our PLC website at peace-lutheran.com then click on Audio Messages.

Chorale CDA rehearses every Tue evening in our sanctuary and beginning to prepare for their spring concert. The Chorale always gives back to Peace by providing a free concert in our sanctuary in May. Something to look forward to!

Is it time to get serious about healthy weight goals? If so, TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets here each Thu morning, and all are invited to participate. It’s a fantastic support system, and the group is very welcoming and friendly. Weigh-in begins at 8 am and is followed by the meeting from 9-10 am. Stop by on Thu morning to get acquainted!

Peace welcomes the awesome Ramsey Raiders 4-H group each month for fun and learning. on Thu, Feb 20, at 6 pm!

They will be here Fri, Mar 20, 6 pm for a special Quiz Bowl practice!

We’re hoping we don’t have a Feb like last year! But, when we experience severe weather and school district closures are announced for that day, the church building will also be closed. Staff will always try to send out a mass email if we are closed. Please be safe and check before heading over!!

Kitchen Donations: Our pantry could use tissues & hand sanitizer (it’s the cold & flu season!).The church office provides a tax-deductible receipt for your much appreciated GIK. Thanks for all your wonderful donations!

Quarterly devotionals can always be found on the table in the fellowship hall.

In January, donations to the CDA food bank totaled 58+lbs. Thanks to Joyce Beghtel for their delivery on our behalf Donations that are always especially welcome by our food banks are personal care items and pet food.

February Calendar

~ KIdsZone leaders or those that want to be! will huddle up for a brief meeting following worship on Feb 2.

~ Feb 2-9 is Family Promise hosting week. Pastor Jon is gone Feb 4-7 attending an LCMC Trustee meeting.

~ Our new Council will be installed during worship on Feb 9. May God bless their work this year!!

~ The first Council meeting has been moved to Monday, Feb 10 at 6 pm.

~ The Fellowship Team will meet at 10 am and Safety Team will meet at 6 pm on Feb 11.

~ The church will be closed Feb 17, as a time of Lent preparation and winter respite for the staff.

~ The NW District planning team will meet on Feb 18, at 6 pm to make sure all goes smoothly in May.

~ Fellowship Team is holding a kitchen cleaning day on Feb 22 – thank you!

~ Youth worship & New Member Sunday is Feb 23!!!

~ Big Fun DAY is happening Sunday, Feb 23, right after worship – fun, food, games, activities for ALL ages!

~ Lent begins on Feb 26, with Soup Suppers at 6 pm followed by Ash Wed service at 7 pm. On the Weds following, we’ll continue with soup suppers and remain in the fellowship hall for interactive bible encounters led by Pastor Jon.
