~Our PLC Family Promise team submitted our ideal weeks for 2020 and attended the year-end volunteer celebration event. Our hosting schedule for next year is Feb 2-9; Apr 19-26; Jul 12-19; Oct 4-11. We are privileged to continue in 2020!

~Marge Freligh, Coordinator for PLC at the Ecumenical Food Kitchen, announced our 2020 serving dates as March 26, June 25, and September 24. We are always grateful to serve our community in this outreach ministry.

Team Refresh! JoAnn Solberg, Suzie English, Mary Cockerham, and Lee Ely have been working in the background to develop a plan to upgrade our interior, held several meetings and attended council meetings detailing a plan to move forward. More information will be shared during fellowship time! Look for an itemized list in the Jan newsletter. We look forward to the refreshing of our facility this winter.

Budget Team: Our Budget Team has assembled a proposed 2020 budget for council review on Dec 10 at their regular meeting. Income is based upon pledges received – thank you! Look for the proposed budget in your church mailbox this month so that you may take time to review before the annual meeting on January 26, 2020.

NW District Gathering Team: Our coordinators have begun the organizational aspect of this undertaking early and have met with the NW District Board. Great plans are underway for a successful and informative Gathering. Team members Ken Birge, Jon Davis, Lee Ely, Marge Freligh, Rebecca Kirkpatrick, Jolene Pooley, Molly Shofner, and JoAnn Solberg have all volunteered for different roles. We are excited to be the hosting site in 2020!

Nominating Team Update: Our Nominating Team of Barb Nimke, Rozanne Ryle, Gordon & Gail Schoonmaker, and Jim Wardlow have just about completed their work to secure nominees for Council, Corporation meetings, and a new Nominating Team for 2020. The team is still looking for delegates to LCMC Gatherings. Prayerfully consider attending either one of these incredibly uplifting events. They will be submitting a formal letter to council on Dec 10 of all 2020 nominees.

Safety Ministry Team: Seeking to provide a safe and secure environment at Peace, we have begun to formally establish a three-part Safety Ministry Team. The team will focus on facility security as well developing procedures in case of emergency situations such as fire, gas leaks, medical crises, health, and natural disaster. If you have an interest in serving on this team, you are invited to join our occasional meetings at Peace. We recently partnered with Candlelight Christian for a training event here at PLC. For more info please speak with Pastor Jon or email him directly at jon@peace-lutheran.com.

Praise!! Some Needs Met!

Amy Birge has kindly volunteered to be our Altar Guild Coordinator. Barb Hunley is assisting Amy into a smooth transition of this responsibility for the new year. Again, we want to express our thanks to Barb who has done a wonderful job sharing her gift of altar care since our beginning in 2010!

Our Fellowship & Hospitality Team has offered to provide weekly Greeters. As Margaret Nagel stated, it feels like this should be under our team umbrella, because after all, we are about hospitality! Thanks Margaret!! During Dec-Mar, valet service will be provided during winter weather. Pull in the drive-thru and your car will be parked, then returned to you when leaving!

WOW! Thanks to all who returned 2020 Time & Talents sheets. Schedulers will add you in January!
