Bazaar Crafting Workshop – Nov 9!

The Fellowship Team is inviting all to our craft workshop on Friday, Nov 9, from 9 am – noon. Together we will be making several crafts to sell at our Christmas Bazaar; or bring your own craft to work on with us. Craft materials will be provided. Sign-up sheets are in the fellowship hall along with a sample of each craft and the cost of each. Look for more details in your church bulletin. Come and enjoy fellowship, coffee, yummy goodies and crafting! – Mary Cockerham, Fellowship Team

“Spirit of Christmas” Holiday Bazaar

The Holiday Bazaar is on the calendar for Saturday, December 1, from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. There are many opportunities to contribute to and get involved in this fun and festive fundraising event.

Crafts and Gift Shop – We hope to have a large variety of handmade items to offer so that our customers can get started on their Christmas shopping at our place. The poster in the entryway should give you some ideas of items you might want to work on. If you have questions or ideas about this department, chat with Mary Cockerham.

Christmas Treasures – This is essentially a Christmas themed rummage sale, where you can contribute any gently used Christmas ornaments, household décor, holiday dishware, etc. So, start looking through your storage bins and pull out those things you aren’t using any more. For more information or questions, check with Gail Schoonmaker.

Candy and Cookie Sale – This is a very popular feature of our Bazaar. Your donations of homemade candies and holiday cookies are offered for sale by the pound; customers are provided with plastic containers which they may fill with any assortment of items they choose. You can bring your batches of candy and cookies in the pan or a box; they will be plated and displayed by our expert sweet shop ladies, headed up by JoAnn Solberg.

Lunch – We will be serving fresh baked coffeecake, beverages, homemade soups & sandwiches all during the Bazaar. Come for lunch, bring your friends! It’s all delicious!

Raffle – There will be a couple of great raffle items again this year. We will begin selling tickets on Sunday, Nov 4, in the Fellowship Hall, every Sunday thereafter, and throughout the actual event on Dec 1. You can’t win unless you buy a ticket!

You can bring in your craft and Christmas Treasure contributions starting on Sunday, Nov 25. There will be designated areas to place them. Candy and cookies can be brought in on Thu and Fri, Nov 29 & 30. The set-up crew would like everything delivered by 1:00 PM on Friday.

Proceeds from the Bazaar will be used to buy some items on our wish list for the kitchen and fellowship area and to build up our Scholarship Fund for graduating seniors. We are looking forward to another fun, successful event and hope you will join in with your contributions and support.

The Week of Nov 25 – Advent & Christmas decorators needed! Let’s deck our halls with greenery, lights, poinsettias, setup the Christmas tree for Nadia Bruno to adorn, and place the Advent wreath and Nativity in the sanctuary. Contact the church office if you would like to help with this joyful task! Thanks in advance to our P&M Team for bringing in decorations from the Man Cave!
