Serendipity Bible Study: Wednesday – 10 AM

We continue our study of the book of Acts using a word-for-word DVD with time for discussion. It is our plan to complete the book of Acts by the end of summer, and dig into a study of Genesis this fall. We gather Wed morning at 9:45 to share our prayer needs. The Bible study is from 10-11 am. If you can’t be with us every Wed, please join us when you can. There is never a week where something new isn’t discovered. God has so much to teach us…come and learn! – Pastor Gail

Pastor Gail recently read this at Wed Bible Study and many asked for a copy:

“Before you speak to me about your religion, first show it to me in how you treat other people; before you tell me how much you love your God, show me in how much you love all His children; before you preach to me of your passion for your faith, teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors. In the end, I’m not as interested in what you have to tell or sell as I am in how you choose to live and give.” – Cory Booker

Thursday Bible Study – 11 AM

We’re going to begin a great new study next month in September! The topic will be The Means of Grace. Who doesn’t need that?! Please contact Jim Wardlow at 253-219-4461 or e-mail djwardlow50@gmail.com so planning may begin and materials ordered. Look for a sign-in sheet this month!

Please look for the latest quarterly devotionals on the table in the fellowship hall.

Confirmation

Confirmation will begin this fall for two excited students, and will be led by Pastor Gail. This seemed to make sense, as Pastor Wandrey will be leaving us during the second semester. Did you miss getting confirmed? Would you like to go back to the basics, dig in, and really learn about your Lutheran faith? This may be the opportunity! Class time and date haven’t been determined just yet, but stay tuned.

“Everybody Has a Part”

Can you imagine what Peace Lutheran would look like if every member were using his or her spiritual gifts for God’s purpose to build up his church? WOW! It would be AMAZING!

Please join us Sunday morning at 8:30 am for the 8-week study where we will not only discover our spiritual gifts, but also learn how we can use them to bring glory to God.

“The dynamic of a church body operating within the sphere of spiritual gifts is a real testimony to the world around us. In a self-centered, self-sufficient culture, where isolation and disconnectedness seem to be increasing, this kind of inter-dependent, accountable, relational atmosphere will seem like an oasis in a desert. People long for this kind of connection where love abounds.”

Come, grow your faith, and learn how together we can build up Peace.
