June Activities for YAP!

June 18-23 is the week that several of our youth will be attending Champ Camp at Lutherhaven. What is “Champ Camp?” Champ Camp is a week that kids who struggle with disabilities are paired up with other youth from our churches and hang out one-on-one. Our precious youth will be engaging with these other precious children of God and establishing a bond that they may not even be able to see. Some of those “champs” are unable to speak, others can’t walk well, and others are unable to communicate at all. This is exactly what the word “Servanthood” means. Our youth are walking the talk. They are reaching out to those in need. We will have a blessing and sending for them on Sunday morning June 18 at worship. They will leave that afternoon for Lutherhaven and return about noon on Friday. Pam Kirking will be the chaperone – thank you Pam! Those who are going are Luke Snyders, friend Deja, Lance Ely, Owen Walsh, and Lexie Newman.

God Bless them one and all! Pastor Gail

July 17-21 is our Vacation Bible School week. The theme will be “AMAZON OUTFITTERS” – On Expedition with the One True God! Jennifer Murray has ordered VBS materials & this program looks great. She’ll be asking for helpers soon, so eagerly accept that call to share your time and talents! We will be serving sandwiches and fruit at 5:30 pm, with the program running from 6-8 pm each evening. It’s time to share with your family, friends and neighbors. We always have a great time!
