Christmas Cantata and the Nativity – Dec 18, 10 AM

At Sunday morning worship on December 18, the Christmas story will be presented through the music of our choir, along with the visual portrayal by youth and adults. The Cantata, “By Heaven’s Light” combines traditional carols, original music and lyrics, and scripture readings from the Gospels of Luke and Matthew—underscoring the theme of Christ’s light coming into the world. Songs included are “Prepare the Way of the Lord”, “Emmanuel”, “The Angel Gabriel”, “Mary’s Song”, The Journey”, “Song of the Angels”, “March of the Kings”, “Away in a Manger”, “One Flame”, and culminating in “Joy to the World!” This worshipful program will be accompanied by our talented Director of Music, Ruth Leib, and narrated by our pastors. The portrayal of our Lord’s birth is being directed by Mark Gorton, and will include several costumed people in our congregation, both young and older. Please join us and bring family members and friends to share the meaning and joy of this special worship service, 10:00 a.m., December 18!
