Our Continuing Christian Education

Stepping Stones of Faith

Please join us at worship on Sunday, September 11, as we bless those beginning Sunday School, Confirmation, and present Bibles to our third graders. This is also our kick-off Sunday for all of our Christian Education programs! Come be filled with God’s Word!

Everyone – Get Ready to Rally Sept 11!

Our annual Rally Day kick-off of Christian Education for youth and adults will be Sunday, September 11. From 8:30-8:50 am, we’ll dig into a hearty breakfast featuring pancakes, sausage, juice, and ice cream too (oh so good on pancakes)! Then the youth will head off for games and crafts. The adults will be busy becoming acquainted with the leaders and other members of their Sinner/Saint Sharing small groups and find out more about our Adult Study plans for this fall. Rally Day is the high-energy way to get everyone fueled for a great year – don’t miss it! – Pastor Gail

Confirmation will begin on September 14. Dear Confirmands, I am looking forward to spending this hour with you every Wednesday evening at 5:30. This year is the second year for all of you and we will be looking at “The Bible.” If any of you come to this first night and are able to recite all the books of the bible – without looking!! – there will be a wonderful prize!  Blessings on your second year of study! – Pastor Gail

Adult Study – Sept 18, at 8:30 a.m.

Pastor Wandrey will lead a new Sunday morning class based on the book The Mystery of the Shemitah. This book is a sequel to The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, a Jewish follower of Jesus who is director of Hope of the World ministries. The author applies Scripture, especially God’s commands and Isaiah’s prophecies to our country and culture today, and presents interesting connections to Israel’s relationship with God 3000 years ago, and ours today. Using the Jewish calendar, Cahn shows how God’s dates and times are reflected in the Stock Market and world economy, the significance of towers in human history, the rising and falling of nations, and more. This should prove to be a most intriguing discussion! You are invited to get and read the book before the class begins to inform your participation. Please be aware that you may find the first section of the book to be overly repetitive. Handouts will be provided during the study so everyone can be involved in the discussion. Plan to attend!

Small Groups Beginning!

Sinner/Saint Sharing small groups will be organized on Sept 11, at 9 a.m. Come meet your host, group leader and fellow members! Materials will be handed out so participants can prepare for each group meeting. Pastor Wandrey will be on hand to answer any questions and provide guidance for small group discussion for this new Christian connection with the theme of Living Stones.

Wed Serendipity Bible Study

The Wednesday morning Bible Study group has asked to begin at 9:45 am and go until 11:15 am because they want more time in discussion with God’s Word. We will do our opening sharing and prayers at 9:45, and dive right into the Word at 10. Come when you can and leave early if you need to. We just want to invite you to be a part of this incredible, fun, inspiring group of believers! We are continuing our study of Jeremiah. Come be fed in God’s Word! – Pastor Gail
