Uganda Medical Mission by the North Idaho Team

Things are coming together for the Uganda Medical Mission! There is less than three weeks left until we leave. The congregation has purchased 16 bags – WOW!! That equals 28 total bags, full of clothing and medical supplies ready to go. That’s 1,400 lbs of supplies! We want to thank ALL of you for your support of clothing, baby wipes, vitamins, glasses, baseball caps, shoes, sanitizer, prayers, and lots of love. Thank you again for all the bags purchased, and all 28 bags will return from Africa to be filled and used again next year.

We have held our “Team-Get Ready” meeting and everyone is very excited to see what the Good Lord has prepared for us. We have 14 excited Uganda Team Members. Andrew Synders is going ahead of us (by one week) to work with Next Generation Ministries in setting out our daily village contacts. The team is leaving from Spokane on May 14th. We will be returning May 29, a little more tired. Wear your Uganda T-shirts, pray for us daily, and don’t forget to check us out on Facebook: PLC Uganda Medical Mission.

This year’s Rummage Sale proceeds have been designated to the Uganda Mission. Thank you so much! Please support the Rummage Sale and tell all your friends. Our patient care dollars are growing. We are at this time just over 1/2 of our goal of $20,000. We still have time before we leave and would like our emphasis to be on the “patient care dollars.” As a reminder, this money goes directly for medicines and hospital care costs. All checks should be written to Peace Lutheran with Uganda Mission in the memo, and amounts are tax deductible.

Thank you again from the Uganda Medical Team. Thank you for being part of God’s Plan for us!
