Come Grow With Us – Community Garden at Peace!

We are “Planting a Row for the Hungry” through Kootenai County Extension Office. Seeds and seedlings will be provided in exchange for giving our bounty to the area food banks and reporting our poundage every month to KCEO. The garden will also assist our local food banks and area soup kitchens. New Visions Alternative School in Post Falls gifted us with several tomato plants. A new irrigation line was installed out to the garden area May 18. Thanks to Ken Birge who installed the line and hydrants that Sunday, then finished charging the system the next day. Brad Pfundheller has disked up the area down a foot, and fertilized in prep for planting. Our first round of planting was held Sat, May 24. We’ll need joyful volunteers to make our garden grow! If you have any extra garden rakes, hoes, shovels, trowels lying around and would like to donate them, they will be happily received!

Speak with or contact Valda Pfundheller today at 818-3146 for where you can help!
