It is that time of year again, as many of you already know our Cardboard Box City is coming up Friday, October 11. We are asking for your help, support and prayers to make this event (our 5th!) a success. Peace Lutheran Church Youth will be there!!!

We know that many have previous commitments or just are not able to participate, but you can still help. If at all possible we would like to have every one of our churches represented at the event. Either by an overnight participant or by having a member of your congregation present at the opening ceremony to show support.

Here are a few other ways you can help us with our most important event of the year:

  • Have your youth group participate. We learn so much by experience, this is a good way to experience just a small part of what our homeless children do.
  • Volunteer a day to ‘Spread the Word’ hand out fliers in a community or public place to help promote the event.
  • Stop by the night of the event and bring a friend! We will be accepting donations at the event and have a great program planned that should be fun for everyone.
  • Forward this information to any friend, business, organization, and youth group you know that might like to help or participate.
  • Lastly, but most importantly, we need your prayers. This event helps us bring awareness to the community, but also keeps us helping others. The funds we raise will keep us going until our next event in February, so it is very important.

Blessings to you all! I hope to hear from you soon. Thank you!
