Youth Mission Trip – Shoshone ID Servant Adventures

“Changing lives through simple, significant service.”

Eight young people and two adults will be leaving Sunday, June 30, for a week of mission work in the Silver Valley. These youth are the Peace Lutheran Leaders of tomorrow!!!

Over the past decade thousands of teens and adults from church youth groups around the nation have participated in an Idaho Servant Adventure. Together they’ve volunteered tens of thousands of hours in service to the people, organizations and communities of the region.

Idaho Servant Adventures…

  • Engages teens (and new this year – families!) in simple, significant outreach, leadership and service
  • Challenges youth and adults with adrenaline-pumping outdoor adventure
  • Grows leaders through dynamic programming, life-long relationships and awesome speakers
  • Is a personal, all-inclusive week (each youth will be writing in a spiritual journal each day)

We want to invite the congregation to be a part of this Servant Mission. You can help by providing a full sponsorship of $226, or assist with any donation amount. The total cost of this ID Servant Adventures event is $2,260 for the ten attending. Grateful thanks for $856 in Sponsorship gifts already received!

Our vision is to follow the way that the scriptures have taught us to “go out” in service. When we send them out, they will be sharing the Word with those who need hope. Others will be seeing Jesus in them. “It’s a story of changed lives … a story of deeper friendships … a story of people coming together at different points of their lives to unexpectedly become the church incarnate … ready to serve God through their love for each other and for every person they meet.” – Nate, Youth Director, and participant of ID Servant Adventures
