Messiah-The Rest of the Story

The Northwest Sacred Music Chorale is providing the community with a rare and exciting opportunity to experience the Lent and Easter parts of Handel’s Messiah. Although Parts II & III contain some of the most recognized and beloved solos and choruses, they are not performed nearly as often as Part I (the Christmas story), and are rarely performed in the seasonal context. You are invited to extend the spirit of Easter as the Chorale, orchestra and soloists present well-known selections such as The Trumpet shall Sound, All We Like Sheep, But Thanks be to God, Worthy is the Lamb, and the perennial favorite Hallelujah Chorus, which is often sung at Christmas, but which is the triumphant conclusion to the Easter story.

Messiah will be presented at the Kroc Center on April 13, at 7 p.m., and on April 14, at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15; $12 seniors/students, and are available online or from Ruth Leib.
